Prescott's Magnolia also known as Maggie May as I call her at home is a super black Irish Draught purebred mare. She should mature at 16hh by the time she is done growing which is a lovely handy size to breed to any RID stallion.
Maggie is a showy mover, is very athletic, with good substance and a deep girth.
We presented Maggie as a two year old to the Irish inspectors in 2005 and we were thrilled to have her pass as an RID with very high marks. Maggie also came 4th in the 2-3 year old purebred filly class at the 2005 Central region Irish Draught show. The inspectors said that she was a lovely tidy mare who would cross well with any RID stallion and in time would mature into a fabulous mare.
We feel very fortunate to own Maggie and would like to thank the previous owner Dawn Brown and Wendy Ying who made it all possible.
Offspring
Maggie is expecting her first foal by Touch Of The Blues in 2007 we are sure that this foal will be spectacular as they will complement each other very nicely.
Lineage
Maggie is by R.I.D stallion Pride Of Gloster who competed at show jumping in Ireland before being exported to America where he is now owned by Pat and Karen Garret at Prescott farm. Pride Of Gloster is by the great RID stallion Clover Hill ranked 4th by the world show jumping federation as a sire of show jumpers. Pride Of Gloster is the only Registered Irish Draught horse son in North America by Clover Hill. Maggie's dam Cappah Lass is out of the champion mare RID Ard Lass who is also the dam to the RID stallion Western Sun. Maggie has lovely bloodlines combining modern and old style blood of Golden Wonder, Pride Of Shaunlara, Colman, Skippy and Clover Hill!
